Today we'll be taking a look at the Grangestone 31-year-old Highland single malt and the Glen Fodhry 29-year-old Speyside single malt. Both are Total Wine exclusives, and the Glen Fodhry is also available as a port finish for about $25 less than this oloroso finished one (reports are that it’s not as good – but I haven’t tried it). Retail pricing on the Glen Fohdry 29 is $250 and it’s bottled without coloring at 47.1% abv. The Grangestone 31 retails for $300 and it’s bottled at 40% abv. With the prices of aged single malts from the big distilleries climbing, the price points for these undisclosed sourced single malts isn’t too horrible. As a bonus for my patrons, I’m adding on a review of the ridiculously old Grangestone that (with luck) might still be on Total Wine shelves near you.
