Got a Gaussmeter to compare "overheated" hub motor magnets and future test.
I got it on ebay for 200$ cad and it seem prety good.
This actual motor is a QS motor 205 50H 5T ( kv of 9.0) and i received it for repair as it had no protection inside and was full of rust inside.. Even the puller wasn't able to pull the stator from the magnet rotor! finally with super human force i succeded =)) Magnets and stator core was full of magnetic brown dust and surface was affected by corrocion.. I cleaned it and painted it with special motor protective coating (Sprayon EL601)
In fact i have measured about 3300 to 3400 gauss on the center of each magnet plate on that motor rotor. I have no idea if it was overheated or not, however i know it was used at 12kW on a Adaptto Max-E controller WITHOUT temp sensor. The magnetic field is very uniform from one magnet to another. These magnets are type 35HS neodium and workingtemp to 70 celsius and max 120celsius according to the QS motor manufactur. Please note that on the next video i tested the stator magnetic field to compare and at 10A between 2 phases i measured 140 gauss on the edge of the "T" shape tooths.
