In this video i am explaining why hall sensor get problematic in the Sur Ron motor, causing all sorts of rotation problem as well as explaining the causes that make the hall sensor to become deffective.
I repaired alot of various electronic in my past 35 years and often succeded to repair problem caused by water intrusion when damage are not too deep. If your hall sensor is deffective there is chances that you could save it and use it with basic solution, while you are waiting for the replacement to arrived or simply to permanently repair it.
