The Gloster Meteor was the first and only British jet that saw combat in World War 2. The Gloster Meteor was developed in the 1940's and saw combat in several conflicts around the world.

In 1918 Swedish volunteers formed the Swedish Brigade (Svenska brigaden). The Swedes were fighting for the Whites in the Finnish Civil War.
The voluntary Swedish soldiers participated in fighting in Finland and played a part in the battle of Tampere. However the Swedes particpation of the Swedes was not uncontroversial.
