The Vought F7U Cutlass was a United States Navy carrier-based jet fighter and fighter-bomber of th early Cold War era. The design was influenced by German WW2 experimental jet designs, such as the Messerchmitt P-1110 and P.1112. The F7U Cutlass had a short career and had a very high accident rate.

The MiG-25 Foxbat (NATO name) was one of the fastest military aircraft ever to enter service. It was constructed as an interceptor, mainly in stainless steel, and was a heavy and not very agile aircraft, although NATO feared it would be.
