How did this happen?! We remember when Gito first arrived at YIARI's center in 2015 - frail, battling a parasitic skin infection, carrying a look of despair in those big beautiful eyes. He had been rescued by the Ministry of Forestry after being kept as a pet inside a cardbox box.
In this video, we've started from a few months after Gito arrived and had been mostly cured from his skin infection by YIARI's veterinary team. We don't want to put a downer on your day!
A decade later, and Gito is all grown up! He's making fantastic progress in Forest School, where daily enrichment activities allow him to develop his strength and survival skills in preparation for a future back in the wild!
