After years of planning and hard work, the brand new bear rescue center of our partners, FPWC, in Ushi is now operational, and the first bears have officially moved in.
Thanks to the incredible support of people like you, this new center will offer more rescued bears a safe and peaceful home in the Armenian mountains.
Five bears - Gatekeeper, Six Apples, Ivy, Nanar and Noah- have already been transported from the FPWC sanctuary in Urtzsador and are settling beautifully into their new outdoor enclosure. The team has even spotted them preparing for their first hibernation in Ushi, a vital sign that they feel safe and comfortable in their new surroundings.
This milestone has been a long time in the making, and it is only possible because of your continued kindness and support. Thank you for helping make this incredible new beginning a reality for Armenia’s rescued bears.
