The most rewarding part of our job is to see these beautiful animals grow stronger
This little raccoon is being fed lifesaving nutrients through a syringe at our centre in Costa Rica, and while they may be tiny, they’ve got a big fighting spirit.
Wildlife here faces so many dangers, from electrocution on uninsulated power lines to vehicle accidents, dog attacks and the growing pressure of development. That’s why so many animals end up in our care needing urgent help.
And this is the part that makes it all worthwhile. Watching a vulnerable baby begin to regain strength, one careful feed at a time, is something we never get tired of. Slowly but surely, this little one is getting stronger, cheekier, and more ready for the future they deserve.
