This is probably the suite that had the least amount of fixing up to do, but I couldn't resist it. Hattori's Ghidorah theme is one of my favorite modern themes in the franchise, and its biggest sin is that its not used more. Dissonant, ambient synths dwindle low in the mix, akin to Metphies' theme in a way, yet it sounds... odd. Foreboding, eerie. The string motifs are pitched high, and reverberate from left to right channel like a serpent, a foreboding omen. Ghidorah's motif is six simple notes, played on low woodwinds in an almost muted, harmless manner. It's such a discomforting, clashing feeling, as if the theme is trying to lure you in with a sense of false security before striking. It's not seamless like Metphies, it's malovelent intentions are so apparent it's almost trapping. The loud spikes in orchestral noise, almost a shriek for help, followed by the plotting drums and string patterns as Ghidorah's theme explodes into a frenzy of brass and strings. His theme is akin to an older horror film, yes pulpy and orchestral, but there is a genuine existential fear that Hattori is able to capture so perfectly despite his smaller orchestra. An absolutely perfect theme for the nightmare it's meant to represent.
