The German Telekom official rolled out ISDN (integrated services digital network) in 1989. Around 2014 they announced that ISDN would be phased out. In 2022 the last ISDN line was finally gone.

I have here a NTBA (network termination for ISDN basic rate access) that bridges between a two-wire telephone line and a four-wire S0 bus with two 64kbit/s channels. And we’re gonna tear it down.
