Kicking off the mechanical design of things with an overview …

In the previous video we’ve re-designed and re-implemented the code for the RS-485 communication between master and slaves (link below). Anyway, after fiddling with circuitry and code for so long, it’s finally time to start tackling the mechanics.
We start by talking where to house the electronics and the mechanics. Then we tackle the problem of attaching a servo mechanism, so if will pivot up/down with the shaft. Finally we have a look at how such a servo mechanism can look like.
