Pairing your Garmin watch with an inReach device lets you send messages, check texts, and trigger SOS without pulling the inReach from your pack. Works with Fenix, Epix, and other compatible watches paired to inReach Mini, Mini 2, GPSMAP 66i/67i, or Messenger models. If you get separated from your pack or need to signal emergency services hands-free, the remote control setup gives you a backup. Takes minutes to configure through the watch's settings menu. Worth setting up before any trip where you're carrying both devices.
