This clip is from GamesMaster, the UK show that basically invented gaming television back in 1992 on Channel 4. Dominik Diamond hosted most of it, but the real star was Sir Patrick Moore, the famous astronomer who played this cyborg disembodied head called the Games Master. In the Consoletation Zone segment, kids would walk up and ask the head for tips or cheats, and Moore played it completely straight, sometimes even refusing to answer if he decided a kid hadn't been polite enough or had a bad haircut. In this bit a kid is asking about Castle Of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, the 1990 Sega Genesis platformer where Mickey has to collect the Seven Gems Of The Rainbow to save Minnie from the witch Mizrabel. This game actually came out a whole year before Sonic and helped prove Sega could compete with Nintendo using something that felt completely different from Mario.
