In this video, we review a G near colorless super ideal cut diamond ring purchased from White Flash. When most people buy a diamond ring, they assume that a higher colored diamond ring will make the engagement ring more beautiful or give it more sparkle.
That's why D-F colorless diamonds cost a premium and jewelers often market them in a way that is misleading. The fact is, color has nothing to do with the diamond's sparkle or brilliance. That is a direct factor resulting from cut quality.
Also, many people assume that near colorless diamonds are yellowish and that they can easily see a warm tone in the diamond. However, when a diamond is cut well, the light return of brilliance can help mask color and make the diamond face up white. In fact, most people cannot tell the difference between a well cut G diamond against the best D color grade in the face up view.
In this video, the super ideal cut diamond is a 0.622 carat G color VS2 that is graded by AGS. In different types of environments, we examine the diamond for any tints of color.
