To state the obvious, we typically want brighter looking gemstones instead of darker ones. In terms of dispersion, both moissanite and diamond have good fire. One of the contributing factors for this is that moissanites are doubly refractive and tend to bend light more. On the other hand, diamonds have a better balance of brightness and fire when they are cut well.
