. A while back I did a video on getting 500MB of free data per month with FreedomPop using a mobile hotspot. In this video, I show their free phone service they've got with a Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch.
The details are:
200 Minutes
500 Messages
500MBs Data
All of this per month at no cost, all you pay for is the phone (shipping is free). FreedomPop itself is a freemium wireless service that is still in beta meaning it'll have bugs and issues to work out. Freemium is, while there is a free service plan, there are other plans with more minutes/messaging/data that have a cost (which tends to cover the free stuff).
FreedomPop works over Sprint's network using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) for all voice and messaging operations (seperate from your 500MB of data). This tends to use battery power rather quickly resulting in short battery life... but using something like an Xpal Powerskin that I showed in a previous video can help with this problem. _
