A widespread severe weather outbreak is possible beginning today across the Plains before shifting east into the region from the Great Lakes to the ArkLaTex tomorrow. SPC has outlined an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) across much of Kansas and Oklahoma to cover the threat of discrete supercells that may develop along a tightening dryline late this afternoon and evening. If storms can remain surface-based, all hazards will be possible, including significant tornadoes. Tomorrow's threat is also reflected in a large Enhanced Risk from the Great Lakes southwestward into Texas. Multiple rounds of storms are possible with a risk for all severe hazards, some significant. The severe threat will persist along a stalling frontal zone into Thursday and the weekend, along with a significant flash flooding risk.
