On this episode of First Impressions, we return to the surreal and violent world of Zenozoik, where most problems are solved with a fist (or bomb) to the face. However, this time we're punching with Psuedo, a mysterious yellow fellow who's a bit more limber than Ghat. After awakening as a strange wooden golem, we're taught one of three fighting styles by a mysterious but familiar voice. Then, after locating our real body crushed under a rock, we free ourselves and wake up to music on the wind. Following it eventually leads us to an old man and his feathery grandson being challenged to "The Ritual", a mandatory dice game followed by punching. The old man is beaten to death by the walking face, and Psuedo steps in to challenge the face man. Once he's dealt with, we take the Boy with us to try and find him someone who can get him to his brother. Then, I repeatedly try to punch out a very large boar for the goodies behind it. Psuedo and the boy reach Gemini's Palace in hopes of waiting for a messenger to send the Boy with, but he's told to go straight up to the boss.

For the next Boss Bytes hunt in Monster Hunter Rise, were going after Thunder Serpent Narwa once again. However, having finally met up with her wayward mate, Wind Serpent Ibushi, she is about to become Narwa The Allmother. When we first arrive on the scene, Ibushi is waiting for us and we do battle with the Wind Serpent. Once hes been sufficiently weakened, we both tumble down into the cavern below where Narwa has been waiting. She latches onto her wounded mate, draining his remaining life force and dragon energy in order to gain his powers. Now with command of lightning and wind, the Allmother must be stopped before her brood become a tide of destruction sweeping across the land.

On this episode of First Impressions, were once again in the boots of a United States Colonial Marine who is being sent into the Hadleys Hope colony on LV-426. As Corporal Hicks, its seemingly our job to single-handedly discover the fate of the colonists and fight the horde of Xenomorphs roaming the empty colony. Were also sent in with nothing but a pistol and a flashlight, leaving us to go find our own Pulse Rifle in the colony proper. While lacking some of the enhancements that Aliens Eradication would later bring to the table, Colonial Marines manages to create a similarly moody atmosphere.
