On the eighth episode of Let's Play Dead Space 3, we've reached the icy surface of Tau Volantis. Left alone and stranded without an arctic suit, Isaac caught up to Buckell just in time for him to tell us there might be more suits in the basement before dying. Heading down the elevator, we encounter Necromorphs created from starving S.C.A.F. soldiers that turned to eating Necromorph flesh before being locked in the basement. These "Feeders" have poor eyesight but react violently to bright lights, so Isaac does his best to slip past them without shining his flashlight on any. It's a tense section, and that tension is immediately wasted when we reach the end of the area and then have to gun down a bunch of them anyway. Finally, we obtain the Arctic Survival Suit, allowing us to traverse the surface without worrying about the cold. Back on the surface, we use a key found in the basement to backtrack to the supply depot we passed in the previous episode for another Optional Mission. Once we're done gunning down more NecMo's and have our loot box, we return to the surface again to try and catch up to Ellie and the other survivors.

For the next Boss Bytes hunt in Monster Hunter Rise, were going after Thunder Serpent Narwa once again. However, having finally met up with her wayward mate, Wind Serpent Ibushi, she is about to become Narwa The Allmother. When we first arrive on the scene, Ibushi is waiting for us and we do battle with the Wind Serpent. Once hes been sufficiently weakened, we both tumble down into the cavern below where Narwa has been waiting. She latches onto her wounded mate, draining his remaining life force and dragon energy in order to gain his powers. Now with command of lightning and wind, the Allmother must be stopped before her brood become a tide of destruction sweeping across the land.

On this episode of First Impressions, were once again in the boots of a United States Colonial Marine who is being sent into the Hadleys Hope colony on LV-426. As Corporal Hicks, its seemingly our job to single-handedly discover the fate of the colonists and fight the horde of Xenomorphs roaming the empty colony. Were also sent in with nothing but a pistol and a flashlight, leaving us to go find our own Pulse Rifle in the colony proper. While lacking some of the enhancements that Aliens Eradication would later bring to the table, Colonial Marines manages to create a similarly moody atmosphere.

For the next Boss Bytes hunt in Monster Hunter Rise, were going after another classic Elder Dragon returning from Monster Hunter 2. With metallic scales and command over the icy winds, Kushala Daora can be a fairly tough customer. However, he lacks the windy shield that made him difficult to hit with melee in Monster Hunter World. Instead, hes able to power up his claws and tornadoes with even more dragon energy to do more damage and inflict Dragonblight.
