On the fifth and final episode of Let's Play Resident Evil Village: Shadows Of Rose, Rose has escaped from the spiteful clutches of Eveline and descended into an even deeper level of the Megamycete. On this stratum, a recreation of the village is overflowing with liquid void that pours from the sky and seems to carry down refuse from the upper levels. Some of that refuse includes the dead Rose copies, which we discover become the very Face Eaters that likely killed them. Following a copy of herself wearing her actual outfit, we head down into the caves where the Megamycete itself once resided. But instead of a big fungal fetus, we find a different fleshy mass that continuously births new Rose copies, and a lore laboratory that explains exactly who has been behind everything happening in the Realm of Consciousness. Beyond that, Rose finally finds the Purification Crystal, which actually does seal away her powers. Unfortunately, that proves to have been a part of Mother Miranda's plan to turn Rose into her daughter Eva, which she's still clinging to even without a physical body. Ethan comes to Rose's rescue, and the father and daughter escape the cave together. Ethan tries to hold off Mother Miranda and tells Rose to live a normal life, but she's not willing to just walk away and let her father's mindghost die.

On this episode of First Impressions, were once again in the boots of a United States Colonial Marine who is being sent into the Hadleys Hope colony on LV-426. As Corporal Hicks, its seemingly our job to single-handedly discover the fate of the colonists and fight the horde of Xenomorphs roaming the empty colony. Were also sent in with nothing but a pistol and a flashlight, leaving us to go find our own Pulse Rifle in the colony proper. While lacking some of the enhancements that Aliens Eradication would later bring to the table, Colonial Marines manages to create a similarly moody atmosphere.

For the next Boss Bytes hunt in Monster Hunter Rise, were going after another classic Elder Dragon returning from Monster Hunter 2. With metallic scales and command over the icy winds, Kushala Daora can be a fairly tough customer. However, he lacks the windy shield that made him difficult to hit with melee in Monster Hunter World. Instead, hes able to power up his claws and tornadoes with even more dragon energy to do more damage and inflict Dragonblight.
