...Another percussion fire lighting tip for this weeks #toptipsontuesdays.

...Many people think you can only make sparks with a high carbon steel striker or the spine of a carbon steel knife but actually stainless steel will create sparks too if struck with a hard stone.
.
...Obviously it's not as easy as stainless is harder & doesn't produce as many sparks but if you can get them to land on your tinder they will ignite it just as well as carbon steel.
.
...More people tend to use stainless tools these days so a stainless knife or folding saw would more than likely be part of most people's kit & if you didn't have you dedicated striker with you This could be an option.
