Jessie Rasberry has a special task that she needs Cloud's help with. In order to infiltrate Shinra HQ, AVALANCHE needs access via a keycard Jessie's father has. He was a maintenance supervisor at Shinra Electric Power Company. Jessie asks Cloud to steal the keycard from her house while Biggs & Wedge provide a diversion keeping her mother occupied.

On the way to Jessie's house, the gang whizz past Roche in the underground railway. Roche, also known as Speed Demon, is a renegade SOLDIER 3rd Class. A larger than life character, he is obsessed with speed, motorcycles and competition.
