Behind the Undead Burg Tower that the Taurus Demon was guarding lies a jolly warrior of the sun named Solaire of Astora. He even claims of choosing to become undead so that he could search for his own sun. He is arguably the most charming and prominent NPC in the series' history.

Depending on the actions made by the Chosen Undead, Solaire can either be summoned to help defeat the final boss, Gwyn, or alternately to meet his tragic doom.
