Once you watch the final cutscene and save your game, you can start Soul of Rebirth. In this small New Game Plus, the story goes back to when Minwu sacrificed his life to unlock Ultima. Now him and 3 others will work together for another task.

This PT can be difficult or incredibly easy, based on the condition and equipment Josef, Minwu and Ricard had when they were killed.

Your first fight isn't forgiving: You face off against 2 Sergeants and a Black Knight with whatever state Minwu was in and with Gerald's brother, Scott (the only new character).

The Black Knight and 2 Sergeants are heavily armored and can shrug off the Mythril weaponry that Minwu and Scott have. So you will have to use Magic.

If Minwu learned some attack spells while alive, they will be helpful here. Luckily, I was abusing the hell out of Curse in the early game, so mine was perfect to crack the defenses (halves stats) to do heavy damage to these guys.

Use Blink and Protect to mitigate damage and use your best attacks to slay them. Scott should use his attack spells (he will have 99 Int in the end and you can learn Flare in this dungeon).
