The Mustang was born about a year after me - 1964. But until yesterday I'd never played one. Crazy, eh? And now I know what I've been missing out on all these years. Fender's Vintera III Mid 60s Mustang takes all of the good bits from the early models and condenses them into this rather gorgeous and pint-sized sonic weapon that is unlike any other model they produce. Two pickups, each with its own on/off/phase slider switch plus the Mustang Tremolo, short scale, vintage radius on a rosewood fingerboard, clay dots, Kluson-style tuners... this guitar is a little dream machine.
