The guitar I've been running on stage for the last couple of months is this one: the@fender American Ultra Luxe '50's Telecaster in White Blonde. This specimen weighs less than 3kg and sports stainless steel frets, quartersawn neck, locking machines, Pure '51 Telecaster pickups and a heap of other cool 'modern' appointments - but somehow manages to still have a vintage look. The lightly aged 'heirloom' lacquer finish is a great touch too. I cannot fault this guitar and it's VERY hard to put down once strapped on. There are other models including Stratocasters in this series and the two I've tried are both great. Worth checking out, for sure.
