Went to this Thunderbolt in Clermont County on Wednesday as I have never heard a Chopper 5 5/6 port 1000T before. This siren is located near the intersection of Tealtown and Baldwin Rd. quite literally in someone's front yard. I set up roughly a little over 100ft from the siren on the side of the road to get this shot, and I think it came out well.
All I can say is Chopper 5 Bolts are pretty loud, and the Bolt sure did rumble the ground a bit when the horn faced towards me. Probably not the loudest Bolt I've heard though, although I was wearing hearing protection for the majority of the test, so I can't say that with 100 percent certainty.
Unlike some of the other Clermont County Thunderbolts, this one has a proper 8 second wind down on the Agastat unless it's programmed into the CompuLert RTU to do that. All in all it was a successful test and it was great to get another unrecorded Clermont County Thunderbolt recorded, as well as to get to experience my first Chopper 5 Thunderbolt 1000T. At the end the siren you hear wind down is a Werden Siren P-127, you may be able to hear it throughout the test as well if you listen closely. Enjoy!
