At 12:38am Monday morning, a white sedan was driving eastbound down Memorial Drive, lost control, went off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire.
HFD upon arrival extinguished the flames and rushed the driver to an area hospital in critical condition.
Passenger is deceased.
Victims are possibly one male and one female.
Preliminarily, speed appears to be a factor.
Unknown make/model of vehicle due to severe damage from fire.
Driver history unknown.
Area is an upscale neighborhood with mansions
