Here is a tutorial for how to play Farewell to Chernobyl! I've focused on learning the version Catriona Macdonald played on her album, Opus Blue! I hope this helps you learn the tune! =)
Quick Links:
Demonstration: 0:39
A Part: 1:20
A Part Run-Through: 6:36
B Part: 7:22
B Part Run-Through: 17:25
Entire Tune Played Slowly: 19:15
This is such a fun tune to play, and it goes great when paired with a lot of other fiddle tunes, especially minor ones! The B part is a bit long compared to the A part, but I tried to give some ideas to help remember how it goes. I based this tutorial on how I hear Catriona play the tune on her CD! I hope you have fun learning the tune! =)
I'm not sure if I sound rushed in this or not... I didn't want the tutorial to drag on and on as I thought it could very easily become a super long tutorial with how lengthy the B part is! =S
If you're wondering whether or not I have red-ish hair now, I dyed it red with some henna earlier this week. I've always wondered what I'd look like with red hair! : D I'm not so sure what I think of it yet...I think it looks okay? Hmm... It's very different, but I think I like it. I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to hair, so I guess we'll see how it goes with keeping up with roots and such.... ^_^;;
Thank you for watching, and happy practicing! =D
