Here are two neat tunes: a Scottish march called "Burning of the Piper's Hut," and a Breton tune called "An Dro." I usually hear the march played more like an air, so I tried to play it like that.

Burning of the Piper's Hut was collected by Robin Williamson in 1976 in the book, "English Welsh Scottish and Irish Fiddle Tunes." There really aren't any other known earlier sources of the tune played as a march, and here is a link to the march version with some more information: tunearch.org/wiki/Burning_of_the_Piper%27s_Hut_(1).

However, there is a similar jig with the same name that has been attributed to Alexander McKellar, who lived during the 1800s (here is a link to his jig version: tunearch.org/wiki/Burning_of_the_Piper%27s_Hut_(2) ). The march version is likely an old tune, but hasn't been written down until somewhat recently...

There are lots of An Dro (sometimes called En Dro) tunes from Cape Breton -- they all seem to be called An Dro, which is a tune for a type of circle dance, but I've seen this particular one sometimes referred to as "An Dro 2," and even called, "Breton Dance Tune."

I hope you all have been well! I have been busy with work and trying to catch up with things now that the world is reopening slowly. It has been nice to be able to see my parents and friends again. The past two years have been very rough for everyone, but I think there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

Thank you for watching, and I hope you have a good rest of the week! =)
