#30. Q: Why do hangers matter for suit jackets?
We should rotate our suits, so we are not wearing them back to back. They need to breathe and the wool fibers need to recover. That means hanging them up plays a very important role. Wooden hangers are the best choice because they protect the shoulder silhouette — the foundation of any sharp impression. Never, ever leave your jackets on the plastic hangers from the dry cleaners.

I wanted to try a look which is old and classic, but new for me - dark grey trousers, blue shirt, tie and navy blazer. At work I always wear suits, so I never use this combination, so this was first for me. The location for the photo was the Kumonbutsu Joshinji temple in Okusawa.

Tie: Ermenegildo Zegna silk striped tie
Socks: Grey over the calf socks

Cufflinks: Miyamoto Shoko Tokyo 1880 "S" shaped silver cufflinks.
Pocket Square: Diroma London 1980, blue and white pocketsquare in a reverse puff. Stabiliser from Kuska Fabrics Kyoto 1936.
Watch: Vintage gold 3000.2.M model Gucci Firenze 1921 with a very simple black dial. The burgundy alligator strap is able to be swapped out for my black Alligator strap when I need to do so, thanks to the Jean Rousseau Paris 1954 customisation.
Fragrance: Floris London 1890 Special #127 – Churchill’s favourite
👞 High Shine Shoes: Bally Schonenwerd 1851 black slip ons.
Intention outcomes: It was an experiment and it went pretty well, but not something I would wear to work
