The quarries are a bit annoying due to the high levels of radiation on top of ghoul raiders that do considerable damage with their weapons. I chose to take most of them out via a gauss rifle in sniper mode, and then clean up the rest with a hazmat suit on after the ones outside were taken care of. It worked fairly well. Power armor would obviously work well too. A combat rifle or sniper/gauss rifle seem to work best for this location.
There's a small inside area as well as the outside location. You'll find 3 ghouls inside and an assortment of decent loot. There's nothing special here though unfortunately.
