This quest is quite long, and ends at Fort Hagen. You'll run into some wild mongrels, ghouls, and even a yao guai and deathclaw on the way there. If you're a decent level though it won't be very difficult. Honestly nothing about this quest is overly difficult until you get to the final room. You'll face some synths along the way. Most of them are regular synths or patrolman. There is one synth stormer however which was a skull to me at level 47. He didn't hit very hard or last that long though. The laser turrets are probably the most difficult part of this entire quest. Be careful not to let them take you by surprise, and I'd recommend using VATS. I almost died as you can see from taking them head on. They actually killed me at one point. So be careful when fighting the laser turrets.
A shotgun (especially with a critical hit) takes care of Kellogg quickly. His goons are low level and easy to dispatch. You'll find a energy weapon bobblehead, a Robco Fun magazine, and a U.S. Covert Ops magazine. So this quest has some great loot.
