Another segment of shark action from the South Pass region of Fakarava Atoll in the Tuamotu region of French Polynesia. We'd chartered a small boat for the day as we were staying in the north of the atoll. After snorkeling this amazing reef that was filled with fish and sharks the locals threw the food scraps to the Ocean as they do as standard. This enticed many more sharks, mainly gray reef sharks, to rock up in greater numbers.
I filmed this simply by handholding a GoPro Hero 12 Black in an underwater casing fitted with an AOi wide angle adapter lens for that expansive view.
Five minutes after this activity my wife and I were once again snorkeling in the site amongst the sharks and fish. An absolutely amazing experience.
