Using a GoPro Hero 12 Black with an AOI wide angle adapter lens for the first time in the shallows of one of my favorite shooting beaches. Koki Park North Beach offers itself as a shallow and safe location to shoot split water shoots and also has some of the best, and healthy, hard coral reef gardens in the region.
I was shooting Log footage 4k slow motion at 120fps with shutter set at 1/480th. I had the ISO range set to 100 low and 1600 high. Although with some of the footage looking a little blown out is testament to just how much light was available during the swim. The GoPro was set to lens angle of wide and an exposure boas of -0.5.
Editing was carried out in FCPx with initially laying down the GoPro Hero 12 LUT from the GoPro website. I applied that at 80%. This gave me a benchmark of color to work from and settled the rest working with color ond light board controls within FCPx.
