The Ocean is one of Mother Natures most incredible settings. So many of us are drawn to the magic of trying to capture its beauty by way of photography. Some prefer the calm and minimalist approach, others play with waves and sunsets. For me, I am fascinated with long exposure photography to try and capture the power of the Ocean by way of Motion Blur.
This is accomplished by using long exposure techniques, and by long exposure, again for me, I'm not talking about minute long exposures. This video is a way of showing you how I shoot the Ocean. How I try to capture the power of it's movement in a way that retains as much details as possible throughout the dynamic range.
To accomplish this I use an array of ND, Hard and Soft Graduated and Reverse Grad filters from the KANI Optics brand.
I shot all stills using the LAOWA 12mm f2.8 Zero D fitted to a Canon EOS5DSr using the KANI Optics Filter Holder by way of their new LAOWA 12mm f2.8 adapter ring.
