To tie up almost all of my Deltarune Chapter 2 works, I have to visit this beautiful vibing relaxed menu/title music - Faint Glow! There's some really pretty ways the chord progression moves in and out of scales, which reminded me of The Contortionist's "Parable" as performed in their Rediscovered EP! Mixing acoustic, electronic, and some of their rock guitar elements into a really eclectic display of instrumentation is just so so good. I figured I would also want to dip into some Indian instruments that could contribute to a more droney mood so I brought Sitar, Veena (in sample form), and Tabla to help match the leads! It's been extremely confusing and challenging to me, figuring out how to reinforce my music with these without being typecast - dilemmas only certain musicians have to work through I suppose.
Video-wise, Allison helped shoot with our new Halloween lights all over the lenses along with these insanely useful Aputure bulbs that were set to a fire flicker mode! I think this might be the warmest video yet and it's somehow not a Halloween video! I felt like within all the purples and blues of Chapter 2, it's worth digging and finding where all the warmth and comfort could be. Stay tuned for a collab with a metal band I admire and an actual Halloween djenty fun tune \m/
