Settling a debate on KHWiki. Please excuse the bad gameplay.
Sorry for the doubt, anon.
If this is an error, then Square never thought to fix it for some reason. (Like how they didn't fix the "KO in the middle of Kickspring" crash.) I don't know if the PC version patched either of these.

I seem to have misplaced my save file for this boss… Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Sandworm](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/jeujKpdMTKs/mqdefault.jpg)
![Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Sol Cannon
ソル, ie. Sun Cannon, _not_ soul. Much later on theres an enemy called ソウルイーター Soul Eater (note the extra ウ), so this translation is a slight stuff-up.
This and the Sergeant/Iron Claw fight in Karnak are the two forced EXP fights that matter (the Bartz-only Goblins at game start are completely unavoidable, and all other forced fights either give no EXP or can have it circumvented); 2/2/2/3 (all party members gain EXP) gives you higher party average but more evenly spread; 2/1/1/4 gives you lower party average but Faris absorbs all EXP and is of a slightly higher level (this does matter gameplay-wise in potentially significant ways). ![Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Enuo
I dont like Finishers coin flip. Omega Mk.II, Neo Shinryu and Enuo all have such high defence that Gil Toss is worthless. Of course, I wanted to see how fast I could beat him at low levels; you would want to be more cautious, for sure. Once you reach his second phase, you can guarantee a win by having one character hide and letting a Reflect Ring character get zombiefied (he always uses a damaging reflectable attack on the loops second turn).
The GBA version had him fade out like a normal enemy, with no victory screen; this version _does_ have a victory screen, and you get 180 ABP (+ learned blue magic, if any) for winning. (Thats still less than the three Mover formation, though.)
Earlier drafts of the story would have had Enuo (or at least his body) as the final boss, with Exdeath seeking to resurrect him; obviously, that never came to fruition. My interpretation of the GBA version: Enuo was cast into the deepest recesses of the Void after his defeat (Lethe Courts JP name is 光と闇の果て the end of light and darkness), and the Ancients stationed the Guardian there with orders to kill intruders on sight, that no-one would never free him. ![Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Karabos
Ancient Greek (κάραβος) for crayfish, lobster.
The random encounter Octokrakens and Suckers only attack women, ie. Lenna and Faris, because someone at Square HQ clearly had a fetish. (An NPC in town does note this.) Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Karabos](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/kyRWWpNrR9w/mqdefault.jpg)

![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Flame Eater
Possibly a reference to Purobolos/Pyroboros from FFV (correctly pyrobolus, neo-Latin for bomb; apparently constructed from Greek πυρ fire and βορός eating, perhaps in reference to a bombs function and/or aftereffects); a group of six bomb-type enemies that had to be defeated simultaneously, else theyd keep reviving each other. They decided to use straight-up English for this one instead.
The Grenades it may summon dont count for Rages; you need to find one in the Bomb Forest for that. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Flame Eater](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/lOn_anDoVbI/mqdefault.jpg)
