JP: ほしのていしのしんじつ The Truth of the Planet's Standstill
• (0:01) I'd prefer to translate ていし as "standstill", incidentally…"paralysis" in my mind is temporary (if ridiculously annoying, thank you very much, core game Body Slam), whereas this frozen world is more permanent.
• (0:33) You saw the broken Temporal Tower at the start of chapter 14. And note how the name is highlighted; we'll be going there eventually.
• (0:52) やみディアルガ Dark Dialga in Japanese, and I'm going to continue calling it that. Has nothing to do with the core game primals (ゲンシ primal); stop making a non-existent comparison.
• (1:26–1:36) Remember that "root of the problem" I mentioned in Chapter 13? Here it is. And why the hell did you not try to say this before?
• (2:30–2:32) Took the words out of my mouth…
• (7:34) Welcome to the Foggy Forest of the future – Dusk Forest. Be careful if you have something weak to Grass, as Jumpluff can use Bullet Seed.
• (10:23) Question: how do Grass-types survive in this dead world?! Everything's frozen, that's kind of the antithesis of the Grass-type's natural theme…
• (10:23) Shiny! VC Crystal FINALLY gave us the opportunity to get a legit shiny Celebi outside Japan, after 18 YEARS. Interestingly, normal Celebi (green) has a "happy" portrait and a "surprised" portrait; it seems the switch to Shiny occurred at some point to emphasise this one's feminine persona. (Or it could be leftovers from Rescue Team, I haven't played that game beyond the initial credits roll, so tell me if I'm missing something.)
• (10:59) No thanks to the two dummies behind you!
• (11:39–11:45) This will come into play a little later…
• (12:54) Are you sure you weren't a certain Sunflora in your previous life?
• (13:15) I guess Deep Dusk Forest (もりのたかだい Forest Hill) would be approximately where Steam Cave was in the past, and the Passage of Time located in what was once Fogbound Lake. Rock-weak, Rhydon, Rock Blast, you know where this is going. Hippowdon's Sand Stream can be annoying, though. Fun fact: T&D had Vulpix in this dungeon; they were removed in Sky due to its being a potential starter (like I chose).
• (18:07) Excuse you, I could take him down right now!
• (19:32–21:32) THAT was what Celebi detected earlier (she's a Mythical, she can do that sort of thing)…and Dusknoir decides to rub it in your group's face, the bastard.
• (21:45–22:25) Now that your partner's forced to confront the facts unambiguously, the confusion has (finally!) left their mind and they find a new resolve.

![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Flame Eater
Possibly a reference to Purobolos/Pyroboros from FFV (correctly pyrobolus, neo-Latin for bomb; apparently constructed from Greek πυρ fire and βορός eating, perhaps in reference to a bombs function and/or aftereffects); a group of six bomb-type enemies that had to be defeated simultaneously, else theyd keep reviving each other. They decided to use straight-up English for this one instead.
The Grenades it may summon dont count for Rages; you need to find one in the Bomb Forest for that. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Flame Eater](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/lOn_anDoVbI/mqdefault.jpg)

You can break the Thunder Rod found in the cave for an instant win, but that forfeits the Heros Ring it becomes in the World of Ruin if you leave it alone. Speedrunners do it anyway, since they can cover that loss. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Tunnel Armour](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/noEk0s3fbXk/mqdefault.jpg)
![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Rhizopas
uhh
Also, its correctly Rhizopus (a genus of fungus), infamous for the often fatal black fungus infection. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Rhizopas](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/oQjZSu0H34w/mqdefault.jpg)

![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Earth Eater
The Cloister bosses respawn if you fall back in, so most of them have gimmicks that make them easily beatable (the preferred path is Earth Eater - Malboro Menace - Dark Behemoth). This one only uses physical attacks, so summon Phantom for an easy win. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Earth Eater](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/orH1FuUK1Z4/mqdefault.jpg)
