Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these Timbren Rear-Wheel BES Disc Brake Pads. Now, these pads have been designed to fit your 2019 to current Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500s with either the four or 6-piston calipers. Then your 2022 Silverado and Sierra 1500s, LTD Limiteds with the, again, four or 6-piston calipers. So, on custom-fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Just input the year, make and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our Fit Guide will confirm if these pads will work for you or if something comparable will work for you.
So, this is just gonna be for the pads only. We do also carry kits with rotors. So, if you would prefer the complete kit with the rotors that are fit for your vehicle and the pads, again, the Vehicle Fit Guide will point you in the right direction. Now, if you do a lot of towing and your factory brakes are starting to feel overwhelmed by the extra weight, these severe-duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow, haul heavy loads, and they're gonna give you a stronger initial bite and a more responsive pedal, so you're gonna feel more confident when you need to slow down. Whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone is pulling out in front of you, these pads are going to give you better control during those hard braking situations.
These are built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade-resistant friction material maintains consistent braking performance through repeated stops, so your brakes are gonna stay predictable even on those long grades or in stop-and-go traffic. And because these are low-metallic pads, they're gonna naturally provide more stopping power, but they could create more noise. So, to help with that, these include these premium multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims. They're gonna help reduce squeal without sacrificing brake performance.
And if you notice there on your screen, I'm putting a few photos there up for you. The first photo shows you a close up of what one of these shims from Timbren look like and the construction of them. The second photo then shows what the brake pad looks like with that shim pulled off, so just a better view of the construction of the pads with the shims. So, each pad is positive-molded, which is going to ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of these pads. These do include a bed-in coating, and you can see that indicated by the yellow stripes here, so that's going to help give you a solid pedal feel right away while shortening the break-in period.
It includes everything that you see here, the pads, the hardware, the sensor, the wear sensor wire and lubricant.
