Hi friends, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this Timbren rear wheel BES brake upgrade kit. Now this kit has been designed to fit your 2020 to 2025 Chevy Silverado 3500 with the dual rear wheels. And on custom fit parts such as this kit. Now, upgrading your suspension can definitely improve ride quality, can help reduce sag when you're hauling heavy loads, and it can make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling, but it doesn't reduce the extra workload that's actually placed on your factory brakes. So if you've ever felt like your truck took longer to stop while you're towing a trailer, or you've got a heavy load, or maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than you've expected, or maybe that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads. And it features these low metallic OnyxBite brake pads that are going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate the brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing. So you're going to notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip.
And then it does include these multi-layered rubber shims that are going to help reduce the the noise that could be made from typical brake pads. And it's not going to sacrifice braking performance. If you take a look there on your screen, the first photo there is actually a closeup of an example of one of the Timbren's shims and how it's constructed. And then the second photo is just a more detailed look at the construction of the brake pad itself. So these positive molded pads paired with these precision balance rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal field.
Now speaking of the rotors, these are OEM style vented rotors as you can see here. And so that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing. And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins and outer edges. And as you know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this Onyx Bond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard Geomet coating that most commonly is used on OEM parts.
So this coating also is going to help protect these rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture and winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services and without affecting braking performance. By the way, these pads, they also feature a bed end coating indicated by the blue lines on the pads. So this is going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during the first stops so you can enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. This kit includes everything that you see here. You're going to get the pads, the rotors, the hardware, lubricant, and the wear sensor wire.
