Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this Timbren front wheel BES brake upgrade kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2019 to current Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500s with the six-piston calipers, and then your 2022 Silverado and Sierra 1500, the LTD and the Limiteds, again with the six-piston calipers. On custom-fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Now, upgrading the suspension of your truck can definitely improve the ride quality, reduce the sag, and also make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling those heavy loads. However, it can't reduce the extra workload that's actually put onto your OEM factory brakes. So if you've ever felt like your truck is taking longer to stop with a trailer or maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than you expected, or maybe you're feeling less confident when you're putting your foot down on that brake pedal, when you're towing a heavy trailer or you're hauling a heavy load, that's where this kit comes in. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads. Included in this kit are these low-metallic OxyBite brake pads, and they're going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing.
So you're going to notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. And these multilayered rubbered shims are going to help keep brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. On your screen, I kind of have an example of what that shim is going to look like close up from Timbren and just the build quality, the construction of it, along with just a closer view of the construction of the brake pads as well. So they are designed for heavy-duty braking, heavy-duty towing, and those positive molded pads paired with these precision-balanced rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors, as you can see right here.
So that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops and reduce brake fade when towing. These are premium G3000 raw iron rotors and they're going to feature Timbren's OxyBond matte black coating on the hat, veins, and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes, and so this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard Geomat, or Geomet coating, most commonly used on OEM parts. This coating also is going to help protect them from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving. And it's going to keep your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting braking performance.
The pads and the rotors also feature a brake-in coating and finish that's going to help speed up the bedding in process. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. So this kit includes everything that you see here. You're going to get these two rotors, four brake pads, hardware, and lubricant. Installation is going to be straightforward. However, if you want help with installation, we can help you there.
