Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these Timbren front or rear wheel BES disc brake pads. Now these pads have been designed to fit your 2015 to 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500s and 3500s with either the dual or single rear wheel setup. Now on custom fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and that fit guide will confirm if these pads will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Also, I want to mention that we do carry these pads in kits with rotors. So if you're also looking for the Timbren rotors that go with these pads, again, the vehicle fit guide will point you in the right direction, and we'll find you the complete kit, front and rear, that will work for your Silverado or Sierra. Now, if you do a lot of towing, your factory brake pads can start to feel overwhelmed by that extra weight. These severe duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow, giving you that stronger initial bite and a more responsive pedal. So you're going to feel more confident when you need to slow down, whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you.
These are going to provide better control during hard braking situations. These are also built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade resistant friction material maintains consistent braking performance through repeated stops. So your brakes are going to stay predictable even on those long grades or in stop-and-go traffic. And because these are low metallic pads, they naturally provide more stopping power, but they can create more noise.
So to help with that, we have these premium multilayer vulcanized rubber shims that are going to help reduce squeal without sacrificing brake performance. As you can see there on that photo, I have an example of one of Timbren's shims just showing you that multi-layered rubberized construction along with that second photo there, just showing you a little more detail of the brake pad itself. Each pad is positive molded, which is going to ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of your pads. It includes everything that you see here on my table.
