Hi everyone. I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the replacement bug screen for your fantastic vent fans owned by Dometic. So if you have a vent fan that looks like this and over time your bug screen is starting to look a little dirty or maybe you've lost some clips and there's a bit of movement, this is going to be the exact replacement part for you. Now to replace your vent, there are going to be these clips on the inside that you're going to have to remove. So the best way to do that is there is going to be this little latch part or this little opening divot here.
And if you press in from there, you'll be able to pull out on those clips. That might feel a little strange, but you're pulling in towards the center and then removing those clips. Once they're out, it'll just come right out. Now while you're here, I always would recommend maybe cleaning the fan assembly when possible. Ours is a little dusty here.
Since you have it open and you're already up here, you might as well. But once that is done, then it's simply a matter of putting your vent back in. So remember where that opening was. We're just going to fit all the other clips in, pushing in towards the center, pushing towards the fan. Those clips are all nice and new.
Let's get this last one. And that's in place. Now you've replaced your bug screen. This fantastic vent looks so much better now. Just like how they do at the oil change places, here's the before and now we have the after for our bug screen.
You can definitely see how all the time of using that vent fan, this screen has definitely built up some gunk, some dirt. Technically you could just take this off and you can wash it and then put it back on if that's the route you want to go. Or if you want a brand new bug screen, maybe there's now holes in your mesh and bugs are now coming through, you're definitely going to want to replace it. Hopefully this video was helpful for seeing how this looks, how this works as well as what this fits on. Again, this is designed for your Dometic fantastic vent fans. Your old cover may even say fantastic on it. This cover will not, but it is the exact replacement part and you saw it right here at etrailer.
