English judge (ballpoint pen drawing) is an artwork by the contemporary artist Bisciglia.
With « Domestic procession » series Bisciglia explores animalistic. She draws monumental portraits of gorilla, dog, bird, cat or lemur. With a thorough and monumental drawing the artist celebrate beasts and place mankind at the foot of glorified and conqueror animal.
🗨 “What interests me is the sensitive line, the line which vibrates. A severe line doesn’t interest me. The ballpoint is by its very nature very severe, I have to create this effect in order to give my work its soul.”
✴ Cécile Biscila - contemporary painter - opens the doors of her studio in France. The originality of her work lies in the confrontation between an academic mastery of drawing and a tool as modern as the biro. Through her hyper-realistic drawings and choice of subjects, Cécile Bisciglia depicts the living. The viewer's eye is drawn back and forth between observing the detail and contemplating the monumental subject before them.
