Just finishing the 16mm hole in the main body with an ancient drill press …

In the previous video we’ve drilled 10 holes into the body. That is I gave up on the 10th 16mm hole, 10mm before I reached the desired depth of 70mm with the final 16mm drill, because my Proxxon BFW 40/E spindle stalled out (link below).

Now we’ll try to remedy that. I remembered that I still got a 30 year old drill press somewhere, and thought that this thing might do the trick. Of course it won’t be that easy (column too short, can’t use the table), but in the end we’ll get it done.
