"In Genesis, God said, "this Creation is very Good." .... but, David Radcliff, Director of the New Community Project states, "We're just about to say it's gone." EcoFaith Recovery, a broad network of volunteer leaders and faith based communities in the Pacific Northwest, feel it's time for bold action to save the Earth and its people. It seeks wisdom from the traditions of Christian faith, ecology/ecojustice and relational organizing, taking a 12-step recovery approach for the purpose of revitalizing congregational ministries to make a lasting difference for the healing of the world.
Representatives of Portland Peace church of the Brethren and Matt Guynn from On Earth Peace are actively involved with EcoFaith Recovery, which is helping awaken and equip leaders.
"Brethren Voices" meets with six representatives of EcoFaith Recovery's Beyond Fossil Fuels Initiative to learn of the concerns and efforts that are moving the faith community to take courageous public action for the recovery of human life and the healing of God's Creation.
