1 White cake recipe (follow instructions on box).
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 large container cool whip
If you want to make whipped cream instead of cool whip.
2 cups heavy cream in a bowl whip on medium-high and pour 1/4 cup sugar over top. Whip on medium-high until you get stiff peaks.
2-8" or 9" cake pans spayed with a pan spray and floured.
This is a easy quick dessert, using box cake mix and shredded coconut from a bag. It keeps well in the refrigerator and can be made ahead of time.
Bake cake according to instructions on the box. Let cool, if you want #to hurry up that part put the cakes in the refrigerator.
take one cake put on a cake plate and with the whipped cream ice the middle sprinkle some coconut over top place the second layer on top and ice the whole cake generously with remaining cream. If the cakes have a large dome cut the tops off with a serrated knife. After icing the cake sprinkle the coconut all over the top of the cake and on the sides.
Keep in the refrigerator and enjoy.
