This clock was in need of wax to soften the wood and keep it from cracking easily. I also decided to clean them movement as well. The leather bellows were in great shape, yet the weight inside the bellow tops were not enough to work the whistle for the cuckoo sound. So I fixed that problem as well.
There were chips missing on the beak of one bird and the head feathers on the other that I repaired as well.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not sucuring the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challange of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
