This is how I make my Vintage Movement Plates look so good after taking them apart all the way. You need to take them all the way apart because the cleaner will get into the bushing and can't get it back out. Of coarse you will want to run a toothpick in each of the bushings to clean out the polish and wax along with the old oils and dirt that the movement cleaner doesn't get out. Just LQQK at the shine after I cleaned the plates.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
